My research interests are broadly focused around superconformal field theories (SCFTs) with 8 supercharges, particularly in three (3d) and five (5d) spacetime dimensions. Mirror symmetry has paved the way for understanding quantum dynamics of 3d gauge theories and can be seen as a precursor of the recent development of magnetic quivers. The latter objects contain non-perturbatic information about strongly coupled superconformal points in 5d. Holography provides another powerful perspective on SCFTs. The 3d and 5d SCFTs mentioned above enjoy holographic dual descriptions in type IIB supergravity.
